It’s super easy and I’ll show you how.

Let me however, save you a bunch of time. If you are not into creating digital products of any kind or the thought of writing winning sales copy does not make you go weak at the knees, you can safely skip this article.

I’d also like to make an honest admission. I didn’t think these solutions up on my own. I learnt them from Colin Theriot of the ‘Cult of Copy’ fame.

But this stuff works. It really does. I’ve begun implementing this in my business and I’m seeing results. How much better can life get?

And like I’ve been doing in the recent past, I don’t want to keep these cool secrets to myself. The guilt will be too much. So I’ve decided to lay it all before you.

This article is a little long but there’s a ton of value in it. It took me roughly an hour to write and polish it but that’s only because the stuff was swirling around in my head and threatening to ooze out.

Now go grab a tasty beverage; coffee, alcohol, anything that makes you comfortable, put your feet up and read this whole thing through.

Let’s begin…

Many creators of info products think that the only way to scale their business is by creating new products from scratch. But in my opinion, that’s not ideal because it takes too much of your time and you end up working a lot more to probably make the same amount of money for the time you spend.

What I like to do is to make more money or add more value by working less. Or think of it another way; work the same amount but earn more.

But is that even possible?

Of course, it is and that’s why I’m writing this.

Create your own products

All you need to do is build your own products from the work you do. This is the instant shortcut to creating high value for your customers and yourself.

And the easy way to build products is to build them from the templates you create from of all the work that you’ve successfully done in the past.

It could be anything; you might have written a successful sales letter, an ad that pulled in leads faster than you thought possible, new ways to get the best out of your employees, “managing” ‘difficult’ clients; it could literally be anything that has successfully worked for your business.

Create templates out of all the successful work you’ve already done. These templates will lay down the entire structure and framework of your product and make your effort seem more like a “fill-in-the- blank” kind of thing that you can easily customize to suit different types of customers.

That’s right. Say you’ve just created an info product for a doctor. Use that template to create something for another doctor, or for dentists or nutritionists and so on. That’s how you easily create products for different types of customers:

People in the same industry

People who use the same business model

People who sell things the same way

While you do this, ensure you stay ethical by not selling to people who compete with each other or maybe get a lawyer to look over your contracts before your clients sign.

Turn your Competitors into Customers

I’m dead serious. Create tools for your competitors that will make them better at the same jobs you are pitching for.

Yep…I know it sounds counter intuitive and a bit scary but think of it this way.

You make slick products for mass market customers who might not be willing to pay what you are asking for. Why? Because they might never use what you are selling, more than a few times.

Now let me show you the benefits of turning your competitors into customers.

You earn more money

When you create products for your competitors you are giving them the exact tools they need to help their business grow. And they will use them again and again and again. Little wonder then that they will be willing to pay more for your products.

You don’t have to have a “polished” work of art

The nice thing about selling to professionals like yourself is that you don’t have to produce slick looking products with fancy graphics and stuff. Don’t use this as an excuse to create shitty products; what I meant is that professionals are more interested in the nuts and bolts of the thing and want to dig in to the meat rather than play around with something that’s more fluff than anything else.

Almost anything you do can become a product

If you’ve had success with a process or methodology or piece of work you’ve created, you can turn around quickly, templatize it and create a product that can help someone who hasn’t had the same kind of success as you.

And for heaven’s sake don’t overestimate the amount of success you need to have to be able to sell to others.

You might think you haven’t achieved much but remember this…

At whatever level you are right now, there are plenty of people who’ve achieved just about half or less than half of what you’ve achieved.

So you’ve got only Two clients? I can point you to people who only have One.

Or maybe you have only One client? There are tons of businesses looking high and low for their first customer.

I was suffering under this grave misconception myself for a long, long time. I honestly believed that I needed to be a Guru who knew it all before I earned the right to sell to people.

Guess what? Being a Guru is great and people will look up to you and all, but ever think of what your competitors might find more valuable right here, right now?

I guarantee they will love if you can help them turn the next corner and show the how to specifically do something instantly rather than listening to a Guru speak about what he did many, many years ago that will in all likelihood not be applicable to them.

Which means that you teach your peers how to do the very same things you’ve been doing successfully. Show them how to get past their immediate hurdle and they will love you for that.

All talk and no action doesn’t amount to much. It’s time to talk about what exactly to create.

Since this post is a bit biased towards info products and I am in “Copywriting” mode now, let’s think about what products we can create quickly and easily for other Copywriters. You can easily adapt this to work for creators of other digital products.

1. How to get Leads

Isn’t this what every copywriter wants? Where are the leads? How do you get leads that pay you more money? How do you get leads and pay less for acquiring them?

Lots of questions…just create a product that shows them how to do this.

2. How to close clients

Sales letters can do the heavy lifting but they aren’t always successful at closing deals all by themselves. Many times, customers add your products to their cart but they don’t checkout.

How do you then close sales? Create a product based on your experience of closing sales and sell that to your competitors.

3. How you execute your plans

Many people have trouble meeting deadlines. A copywriter might get writer’s block that might mess up his deadlines totally. Show them how you manage and execute your projects, tips and tricks for overcoming writer’s block and so on.

4. How to monetize your work

Newbie copywriters will ask this most often. They are just starting out and have very little clue on how much and how to charge. Lead them by the hand and tell them how you do it. Your pricing packages, commissions, royalties etc.

By now you must be wondering if there is an easier and faster way to build products other than by creating templates.

You bet there is. I’ll show you the “Rapid” way to create an info product.

How? By creating a live training. Make that into a Webinar and get people to pay to watch.

After that you sell the recording for as long as you want to. You end up making money and selling a product without doing any additional work.

In short, if your audience gripes about something, find the solution to their problem and teach them how to do it. Sell them the solution.

If you cannot find a solution to their problem, find someone who has the solution and invite your audience to pay to learn the solution. Make sure you split the revenue with the person you learnt it from.

There’s more but this should suffice for now. Go forth, templatize, build products and show your competitors how it’s done. That’s the quick and easy way to grow your audience, add value to people, earn money and achieve ‘top dog’ status.

Don’t believe me? Try it for yourself and see!

I hope you found this useful. Feedback of any kind is welcomed, so comment below or hit me up on rlemos@mindwizzards.com.

P.S.

I’m going to practice what I preach so I’m going to take this longish post, chop it into little pieces and spread it across social media in the form of blog posts, YouTube videos, short articles, twitter threads and whatever else catches my fancy.

I’ll have then created a content multiplier with very little extra effort.

Bye for now.

Sincerely,

Ryan Lemos
